Good day,
My 36 4dr Standard Sport Sedan came with no seats. Style # 36-1219.
So I am looking for the proper seat configuration. Searching the forums I am confused. Did the front seat have a split back? It seems that would only be needed on a 2dr. I cannot see it having buckets in front.
And I am assuming the rear was two piece?
I would prefer to have as original as possible.
Any thoughts or pictures would be appreciated.
Any ideas on replacements?
Thank you very much,
Steve

No seats, no springs? Or no anything?

This is all there is.
Well the picture did not install like I had planned, but I think you get the general idea. Nothing here except a wooden backing where the rear seat backrest would attach, I think that is what it is for. Or it is the separator between the cabin and the trunk space. It is just a wooden frame.
I talked to zigs, pretty expensive, and they do front only, waiting for info from LaBarons. Anyone else have any ideas?
Thank you and have a great day,
Steve

Well.

I would suggest you contact Glide Engineering for a seat frame and see what they can do for you.

My experience with them when i did my '37 Ford pickup was they made an excellent seat frame, and it fit the factory pedestal. I had my local upholstery guy upholster it and it turned out fantastic, and he wasn't expensive at all.

That said, i bought a somewhat modernized seat with fold down center arm rest, but i think they make std type seat frames also.

36 seats, sounds excessive for an old car.

Your whole front seat framework will be the hardest part to replace. There are still wrecking yards with these cars being parted out. Buy a copy of Hemmings Motor News and look in the classified ads.
