I want to replace the master cylinder on my 1951 Chevy, stick shift.
The manual instructions state to use a stiff wire to remove the shaft lock pin, within the cylinder, I'm assuming.
I recall reading this lock pin is difficult to remove, am wondering if advice can be given, as to a reasonable way to remove this pin.
I do not have any "hands on" experience in removing this master cylinder

The lock is easy to remove. After removing the pipe plug get a stiff piece of wire and make a tiny hook on the end Then just insert the wire into the hole in the lock and pull it out.
