Ive been told that it is on the outside of the frame rail on either the passenger side or drivers side sort of between the running board and front fender. And yes it is upside down since that is how the frames were assembled. Never been able to find mine due to rust and/or undercoating

You are correct. The one on my 35 Master is on the Passenger side and the one on my 34 is on the Drivers side. I've looked on both sides on my 33 but haven't found it yet. I need to know which side it is really on.

We could all use a picture from a 1933. I know what 1932 & 1934 look like. 1933 was the unknown....Joe

They are right side up on all my cars. Since they are on the Drivers side on 32 and 34's, they are probably on the Drivers side on a 33.

I see my previous post was wrong, they are on the passenger side on both my 34 and 35 Masters. Drivers side on my 35 Standard and are all right side up, don't know where the upside down came from. But that still dosen't answer the question, where on a 33 and are they different from standard to master? And I guess the 33 Standard and 33 Master Frames are different?

Just for the record here, my 1934 Sedan delivery "body" is Canadian. It's not foreign. The chassis was too far destroyed to use for a restoration. The chassis I have for the car is U.S. & the AOS marking are on the Driver's side...Joe

I thought my AOS Number was on the Drivers side but when I looked I discovered it was on the Passenger side so I guess in 34 it could be on either side. Better way to put it, we're all Americans?

NO Jon we are not all americans. We all live in NORTH AMERICA . We Canadians enjoy our differences between us and you. We have no desire to be like americans. mike lynch

Hi Guys,
As the Moderator and since Bill is still recovering I'm stepping in here. Were all Friends and have a common interest in old Chevrolet's. So let's cool it and get back onto topic. And yes we know different regions did produce cars differently and that's what makes thing interesting.
Thank you,
