I would like to propose a name change from Chevy Chatter to Chev Gene Chatter in lieu of his tremendous contributions to our restoration projects. I would venture to say he has helped every single one of us with our restorations.
Happy Birthday Gene! and many more!

Oh, that’s a hard one. I believe there are so many here that contribute so much and much of it depends on the subject matter to whom might contribute. I can think of many members and could never recommend any one person with no disrespect to Gene intended. I think “chatter” is a really well thought out name because our old chevys really clatter while they’re running and this is a forum for people to talk with one another through the internet. Another word for a nice talk is a “chat” and someone originally seemed to come up with the idea of combining the noise of our engines with the purpose of this forum for its name, “Chatter”. I think it fits really well. Getting down from my soapbox now!

No doubt that Gene Schneider is our "guru" on Chatter. There are so many members with so much practical knowledge about Chevrolets and many other vehicles and they are eager to help members with their problems and questions. VCCA is one of the best clubs and the G&D is a great magazine. It is unfortunate that our club is declining in members. The younger generations are not joining clubs, organizations, groups etc. They do not volunteer their time or contribute to worthy causes. Our VCCA officers are trying to spark interest in joining our club. They say things usually turn out for the better. Hope they are right. Happy New Year to EVERYONE Had to vent a little. JIM
