I just picked up a Truckstell model 103 O.D. unit, along with a cut-down torque tube. That's the good news. Not-so-good news is it's a basket case. Good news is I know I can clean it up, and I think I can assemble it. A schematic would be nice to see tho. Anybody know where I can download a sharp schematic for this?

It's got a couple of busted bronze thrust washers, but I've already got new ones on order and a machinist buddy of mine can cut the oil grooves in it for the cost of lunch.

Here's the torque tube.

Also, there is no data plate on it. If someone can supply a sharp picture of one I might be able to get a reproduction made for not too much.

Ok, I'm making progress on my own. I found a great schematic online and I downloaded it.

I hope you don't think you are being ignored. I don't have much to add here, other than information about these units is scarce, and thank you for posting it. Please keep it up. :)

Is this the unit that was advertised on the ACCA forums?

Thanks. I was beginning to think I was all alone in here. (Kidding). I don't know if this is the same one that was advertised or not. Does anyone know a VCCA member named George Haley? I was told he was very knowledgable on these units. I do have a lot of paperwork on these.

Is there A N Y O N E here who is running a Truckstell O.D. unit?
Or any VCCA member who knows of someone running one?
Or any VCCA member who knows about the internal workings?
I need to know if I can run mine without the sprague clutch.
The rest of it I've got figured out, and I'm cleaning things up and almost ready to assemble it.

Here I've got it cleaned up and bench assembled.
The sprague clutch is off and at the lower left.
One of the oil pumps is on the lower right--I've got to do something about that too.

Here is some good information from Ron Beam:
-----------------------------------------
I have all the documentation, although I could disable the link in the future so download the files to your own computer or find a more permanent home. If my gdrive fills up, I may delete the files to make space.

I've written up a long Thread about this OD unit on Chevytalk. I will probably duplicate that Thread here at some point, but for now if anybody is curious, just go to Chevytalk.

Robert, I cannot add anything on the Truckstell, but want to say "hi" and want you to know I think of you each time I grab my '51 car keys with the California Disabled Veterans Tag you sent to me.

Good to see you posting here ...... even though you joined up a long time ago, I'll still say to you ..... wel2
