I am installing a new clutch plate and would like to resurface my fly wheel. Can't seem to find any info in the Repair Manual on removal. Can the fly wheel be removed with out removing the bellhousing? Is there enough room to just unbolt the fly wheel and drop it down?
The 194 engine is in the car and am on my back under the car.
Thanks for any info
Randy

Not sure on the 1931, but not possible on the 1929. Here is my posting on what I did, but Driveline was Out of Car, but good pictures to see how it all comes apart.

I am not positive but I believe the flywheel has to be removed to access some of the bell housing mounting bolts. Have help when taking the flywheel down as it is heavy.

If you are going to have the flywheel resurfaced, you should have the clutch pressure plate resurfaced as well.

Thanks all, Got the fly wheel out today and to shop for machining. Checked my records and found that the PRESure plate had been resurfaced. Also that the clutch plate had been relined. The clutch plate showed more contact on one end so I measured the thickness with micrometer and found a difference of 10 to 15 thousands from one end to the other. So it looked like the clutch plate would grab and release every rotation.
So new clutch plate from the FS and some machine work and all should be well.
