Does anyone know if the optional wire wheels for 1929 were only supposed to be a certain color? If so, Would anyone have the name or the color code for them? I have seen 3 cars with them that look to be an orange/redish color and 1 with black. Any help would be appreciated.

Good question. The paint diagram that I have just shows wire wheels to be an option.

The Color Schedule shows the color of the wheels depending on the color of the car body. I assume the wire wheels would be the same color as what the disc wheels were supposed to be.

Wire wheels were not an "option" or standard equipment in 1929. All passenger cars came with disc wheels. However, there were genuine Chevrolet accessory 20" wire wheels offered by the Chevrolet dealer for 1929. Today, the accessory 1929 wire wheels are hard to come by and they are usually very, very expensive when found. At any rate, are you asking about the colors used on the above mentioned genuine 1929 Chevrolet accessory 20" wire wheels?

My bad. I misread my sheet. It was listed as an Option on 7-10-30.

I believe passenger cars also came with wood spoke wheels in 1929.

Wood spoke wheels were available but not standard. I am one rear hub away from completing a set for my Cabriolet. The front hubs are same part number as 1928 and the rears are specific to 1929 and are dimensionally identical to the fronts in diameter, bolt spacing and depth outside the spokes with the difference being the rears fit the tapered axle. Wish I could find one more hub before I bite the bullet and have a pair machined.
