Car lights seemed to be a little dim. Currently running with the 6 volt lamps I installed. Either FS-17 or FS-17A from FS. I don't remember which ones.

I have everything running back on 6 volt but was curious does a dimmer switch know or care whether it is on a 6 volt or a 12 volt system?

I changed out the dimmer switch a few years ago and I was just curious not realizing whether I put in a 6 volt switch or a 12. Is there actually a difference?. I am at work so I wont be able to look at it until tonight. Just curious.

The big diference is Chevrolet changed from screw wire terminals to push plug type for the 12 volt dimmer switch. The contacts may be more rugged to handle the 12 volts but in actual current resistance there would be no difference.

Sounds good.

I'm leaving her in.
