Russel That story is a brief history of Holden. By what I can find out it appears my 38 truck cab came from this plant and was put onto a Canadian built powered chassis. A bit extra information, 1 of the last few models of Commodore where exported to the US as Pontiac GTO though the engine went on steroids while the steering changed sides but by all accounts was well received over there. The next few years will see "Holden" dealers selling cars manufactured by Opel/Vauxhall but here is the sad part, Opel/Vauxhall is being sold to Peugot/Citroen. Apparently early next year we will see the Camaro RHD here and later the Corvette in RHD as well. The article I read suggested a price of $70k to $90k for the Camaro and no mention of price for the Corvette. Needless to say I wont be buying any of the smaller versions and cant afford the Camaro worse luck. Tony

Hi all, I was talking to an American who told me the purists hate the "GTO" they should never have ever called them GTO,s, much the same as Opel front wheel drive 4 cylinder buzz boxes being called Commodores. What's happening to GM? Seems they are just looking after Europe and China.
