Looking for someone with a 5 Passenger Coupe who might be able to help me. When I removed the interior from Steve's car, the rear lower quarter panel was a straight panel with interior material on it with very little padding. The armrest was installed through the panel and the seat side was up against the panel showing the area of contact. While I'm putting in the new interior, the new panel supplied from Hampton Coach is made differently with the material loose on the face of the fiber board. The material is two pieces sewn together with a welt that is sewn in to follow the armrest top and to continue down to the face of the floor pan where it comes up on the kick board. This is completely different than what was in the car but the car had been re-upholstered at one time. The panel supplied from HC is very similar to a quarter panel for a 4dr deluxe and additional padding is put in under the material to pad the whole face of the panel below the armrest. I am curious if anyone might have a 5 passenger coupe that can confirm this. HC supplied me with pictures that also shows the row of buttons across the bottom seat cushion front panel, again like a 4dr deluxe, but they did not supply me with enough buttons. Also, though this car had been re-upholstered with new seat covers, they did not remove the original seat covers and the old covers show no signs of that row of buttons. It's like the 5 passenger coupe is some sort of hybrid between a deluxe model and a standard interior. The plain panel that was in the car HC told me was for a 2 dr sedan. Any help would be appreciated and I will post some pictures in the member's area.

You might look up Bill Mancuso in Texas. He is a VCCA member so will show up when you search the membership database. He has a very nice 5 Passenger Coupe.

Thanks Chipper. I ended up stuffing the lower section of the panel from the front edge to about half way back. Stretched the material the ways I needed after I cut the hole for the armrest and mounted it. It came out well with no wrinkles.
