Does anyone know how to recondition Stainless steel. I know it can be done, I'm just not sure how to go about it. The chrome on my 55 Chevy isn't to bad, but it could use shinning up and a few small dents taken out. Can anyone help?

Mike, I'm not familar with Eastwood. IS it a company? How do I order the buffing system? Thanks for a quick reply. Dick.

Hi Dick, Ray in Vancouver,

If you have some of the stainless that is dull or dented, it must be removed from the car. Dents can be worked out from the back side and ending up with very fine sandpaper. After all the dents are out you can buff or have buffed all the stainless. Unless you are very deft with your hands I would recommend you have the stainless worked out and buffed by professionals. If you try it and a piece of rare stainless gets caught in the buffing wheel IT WILL TEND TO RUIN YOUR WHOLE DAY. Any place that does plating or metal finishing will be able to do the buffing job for you.
