Hi Guys I have a friend who lives in the UK and he's having a hard time finding parts for his 1954 Chevy 210 wagon 6 cyl. with 6 volt. All I can do is give him what info. I could find which is from my 23rd edition of my Hollander manual for the 49-54 Chevrolet 6 Cyl. Engine 6 volt Passenger Car & Dbl. Duti exclude P.Glide Starter No.604. The parts houses can't find this number anywhere. Also in my manual it lists these other numbers 1107075, 1107102, 1107109, with the No.604 just to the right but they don't mention what vehicle it goes to. I can't find those other numbers anywhere in the manual. Now here's where I butter you up. I know the Chevy gods have truly blessed the VCCA with the knowledge to help me and others. Thanking you in advance.

The Chevrolet part number for a 1954 Power Glide starter was 1929912 and the I.D. number stamped into the plate on the starter is 1108035.

That starter wil also fit any 1949-1954 car but is a stronger more powerful starter for the 1954 Power Glide engine.

It has four field coils instead of two.

As I mentioned above the Power Glide starter I listed will work very well on a standard transmission car providing more starter power.
The standard trans. car is as follows.
Chevrolet part number 1913369 and number on plate 1108035
