duhen Shade Tree Mechanic Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 71 Quebec, Canada	The distance from de roof side rail to the first slat is 2 1/4" to 2 3/8" on my all original 1932 Chevrolet special sedan " Canadian made". The slats (9) have 1 3/4"x 1/4". It's the same distance between all the slats.
