Has anyone ever restored a 33-35 Sunvisor? If so how did you reproduce the pattern in it?

Try your local upholster? I hear that there are vendors that sell these.

I don't think an upholstery shop would be able to help since the boards do not have material on them. If there are vendors that sell them I'de like to know who they are. Does anyone have a visor for a 34-35 Standard?

Hampton Coach supplies interior visors though they may be vinyl covered material in place of the original masonite.

Perhaps another member will post a photo of their 1935 sun visor. My visor is 1936 and original not re-covered. I did not restore it because it is not deteriorated. I can send you an email photo. terrillj@bellsouth.net is my address.

The 36 Visor is different from a 33-35, maybe like a 35 Master.

This is the one in my 35 standard. Sorry, I resized the photo and it turned out blurry. I'm new and this is my first post.

I think the visor would be very difficult to duplicate if it looks like a 33 master. It almost looks like it was pressed. I have attached one in my 33. When I got the car I did not have one so I searched eBay for months and missed a few good one because I was so cheap, if you find a good one you will have to pony up for it.

That one sold for 203.00. I'm not looking to replace mine, just restore the pattern in it. I have three originals.

The coating on the visors in my '35 Standard appears to be a wrinkle finish paint. The drivers side is original to the car, the passenger side is one I found and added.
If you have the patterned style like ab buffs picture, I think you have the wrong visor.

Thanks for the info. You may be right but I hope you're wrong. Anyone else know? What you're saying is like the 35 Master.

Not derailing the discussion, but how is a '36 different from the '35?

Are the brackets the same?

The parts book lists a 1936 Standard visor for that year/model only. The Master is by its self also.
The 1934 qnd 1935 visors are the same.
Support fits 1934-1936.

So 34 and 35 Standards are the same but a 35 Master is like a 36 Master right?

I had Hampton Coach cover the sun visors on my '41 Coupe along with a complete upholstry kit. Their upholstry kits fit real good and are very good original material. I'm sure they could recover your visors. My '41 interior looks just like Hampton Coach advertisement in the G&D magazine.

That's good on a 41 but 34-35 Visors are not covered.

All of the 1934 and 1935s are the same.
In 1936 the Standard and Master are different from the above and Stadard is for Standard only and Master for Master only.

That is what the parts book says.
Same part number for 1934 and 1935 closed cars.

If that's the case then I've always had the wrong one in my 35 Standard.

The 1935 accessory list shows R.H. visor #601444 for 1935 models. Seeing is does not specify Master or Standard it indicates they were the same.

If it helps, I have a good detailed picture of the left hand visor in my 34 Master which I believe is original but have no way to post it since Photobucket let us down. If someone would like it to post I'll be happy to send it to them.

Bill,
The answer to your question about the difference between the '35 visor and the '36 Standard visor is size.
I have (or had) a '36 Standard visor. It was shorter, top to bottom. The length might have been the same.
I have some extra "ports" for the non-hinge end, if anyone needs them.
