I have a very original 33 Chevy Master 4 door, it was my folks for about 40 years. Some of the inside door handles over the years stripped and would not hold tight enough to open the windows or doors. My dad replaced some of them over the years with handles from swap meets.

My question is, what should the round knob look like on the window handles? I have seen some of them chrome, I have seen some that are ivory and some are brown. I see reproductions that have chrome knobs.

Anyone know what a correct inside window handle looks like? Chrome, ivory or brown? Thanks.

Actually the handles should be nickel instead of chrome. Gets confused very often as both are shiny "white". The nickel has a little golden tint compared to the chrome "white".

I probably should have also stated that the knobs were metal not plastic.

Ok, thanks! I thought they were supposed to be nickel or chrome metal, not ivory plastic. I think the ivory plastic ones were just a little bit later.

Yes, the other responses are correct. Handles and all crank knobs are metal on a 1933.

I never took notice what year the plastic knobs for the window cranks appeared on Chevrolets, but it was after 1933.

ab buff, nice car. Love that color and those handles look like what I was thinking mine should be. Some of mine are metal and some have the plastic knob. Thanks.
