It has been 25 + years since a pulled the switch out of my truck so I could well be giving incorrect information. I think you use a fine stiff wire into the hole and rotate the key which releases the barrel for removal which in turn reveals a nut the secures the switch to the dash.

If anyone has better information please correct me.

There is no nut on the front of the dash on a passenger car. To remove the switch/eletrolock I believe ther are two ears on the switch with either studs and nuts or screws holding it to the instrument panel....not easy to see.

If you want to remove the tumbler, turn the switch to the on position, stick the point of an open paper clip in the small hole & press. If you're in the right spot you'll feel a spring resistance as you press. Then turn the tumbler another 1/8th turn or so and it'll pull straight out. If you're wanting to remove the complete electrolock there are two screws on the back side of the dash that hold it in place.
