Have a problem but can not figure out solution.
Top motor and pump have been bench tested and work correctly however when I attach hoses, which go to the lift clyinders the motor, seems to work ONLY in the up mode. When i go to down mode nothing happens. The motor does not seem to be engaging or working in the down mode. Is it possible that clog in either the line or lift cylinder would make this happen? When I disconnect the hoses the motor makes the same sound in both up and down modes. WHen teh hoeses are connected the motor makes sound only in teh up mode. Any of this make sense?

I would remove the pump and disassemble it. In addition to an electrical change with the Up/Down button you also have a mechanical change. Check for debris and smooth operation of the interior parts. Yes, it could still be problems with hoses and cylinders.
