My spark lever will not move the distributor. Is it possible someone has tightened the lock nut for the cam down on the plate? I have a manual but don't want to break something trying to force the issue. Title shows 1917 but serial no indicates was built in 1918

Finally figured it out, someone over tightened the two nuts that hold the spark arm on the distributor.

Hi there WSP530 ,

Welcome to Chevy Chatter, I see that your initial question has been unanswered, I would say that as you are new and posting in the NEW TO CHAT section , that the 490 people here may have missed your question.
Once you have posted 3 times in here, you will be able to post questions directly into the dedicated 490 forums, and will certainly receive some more attention.
Anyway Welcome again, and we look forward to hearing more about your 490.

JACK
