Hi. I find my 1924 490 superior engine has quite high vibration level which to my opinion is not related to unbalance, rather ignition (or Fuel supply). I have set the ignition with a timing lamp to no 1 cyl top, or just. Fuel system has a Zenith O-4 carb, vaccum pump feed. Engine starts easily within two revs and answers to throttle OK. High and low ignition is also notable.
My 490 engine in my 1919 490 Touring runs very smooth - for a 490.
Could it be running too lean?(Have not checked plugs lately)
Could the distributor be set in wrong gear, moving it one tooth?
Also does anyone know how many 4 Door Sedan 1924 there are left, mine is probably the only one in Europe.
regards
Olle
