Thank you Russ. I was on my way from Joplin Mo to Marshalltown IA. Spent a week there and then headed for Napa.
I left Napa on July 17 and went to Omaha, M'town IA, Prior Lake MN, Latrobe Pa, Cooperstown NY, Charlotte NC, Hendersonville NC, Greenville SC, Shell Knob MO then Joplin Mo.
I travelled with my sister from Iowa back to Iowa driving my F150. It showed 8000 miles today that I traveled. I am in Elko NV then home tomorrow.
I lost my wife of 48 years last Jan 8th, so this trip was to visit relatives and some site seeing. I didn't get on the VCCA very often during the trip.

Hopefully the last day's travel was safely accomplished. 8000 plus miles is some trip ! You were 50 miles from me when visiting Latrobe PA. Hopefully we will see more posting from you after you recover from all that driving.

My wife's mother was from Latrobe and she had cousins there. I felt I should visit them on my trip as I also knew them. We did go out to the Flight 93 memorial site. It was very moving.

I live just 18 miles south of Des Moines, and had I known of your trip to Marshalltown, would have enjoyed buying you a cup of java on your way through.

Thank you for the wishes. I guess I need to make a list of people that would be close to where I will be traveling. Don't know if I will try this one again. I did travel 8571 miles, burned 400 gallons of gas and averaged 20.3 MPG in my V8 F150.
