Aren't there supposed to be washers under the screws that lock down the points and also the condenser? There are none on my 40, but seems like there should be.

I have worked on many years and never seen washers on points or condenser hold down screw. there is one on the wire attachment screw.

Well ok. just seemed strange. Perhaps dementia is getting to me, but I just couldn't remember. appreciate your help.
