Besides differences in stainless trim pieces, are the front fenders for 1949-1952 passenger cars all the same? I will be looking for a set of front fenders for a 1950 styleline and need to know how broad my search can be. I know that 49 and 50 are the same, but wonder if there are any differences if you go to a 1951 and/or a 1952. Thanks.

Your scope will be limited to 1949 and 1950.

If you should find N.O.S. fenders, the left GM number is 3690631. Right GM number is 3690632.

Fender Stampings of the '49 and '50 differ from '51 and '52.

Stainless trim is NOT a consideration in varied fender part numbers between '49 / '50, vs '51 / '52.

Keep in mind, the actual vehicle MODEL determined if the vehicle had fender stainless trim ....... or not.

Fleetline and Styleline SPECIALS had no stainless trim on front fenders.

Fleetline and Styleline DELUXE had stainless trim on front fenders.

The shape of the '51-'52 fender is quite different around the area where the grille fits. Also, the radius of the curve from the top of the fender to the bottom is more pronounced. If you mount a '50 fender on a '51 car, you'll see the difference immediately between the fender and door.

Thanks Kaygee and Bobg. That's what I needed to know about the differences in the stamping itself.
