We recently bought a 36 town sedan. I was hoping to see a picture of the rubber seals/o-rings that seal the lower "radius rod" threads. When I had ours apart there was no seal there. I was told there should be an o-ring at these points. I talked with Steve at the F.S. and he said he did not have those. Seems like any type of o-ring would help seal that area, and keep dirt/water out. Also was hoping to see a picture of the cut out on a 36 Master generator. It was not charging and the one on there looks like a pretty inexpensive replacement. I took the generator over to a rebuild shop so do not have it back yet. At this point I am just trying to get this car ready for the MW mini meet in 2 weeks. Some things will just have to wait, but if I see these parts I can pick them up. Thanks for the help. Art

The radius arm O rings are 1 1/4" ID and 1 5/8" Which equals 1/8" thick. Many parts and hardware stores car oil resistant O rings. The arm would have to be removed to install them. There are pictures of the cut-out in the generator repair section of the shop manual. Any shop that can "fix" a generator should be able to test a cut-out.

Thanks Gene, Yes I know the radius rod would have to be removed to install the o-rings. I appreciate the dimensions. Pain in the ... The cut out looks new and is small. Its profile does not fit the shadow in the paint of the generator. Got the generator back from the re-builder today, so as soon as it cools off a little bit this evening I'll put it on. Do I still need to polarize the generator since the ground is in the light switch?

The later Delco cut out did not look the same as the originals and the long way was different from the original Yes, it still must be polarized.
