Looking for the airflow in cfm for a 261 cu in @ 2400rpm. thanks in advance

I wont say my method is correct but I mulitply the 261 ci X half engine speed gives you the ci/m then divide by 12. Tony

that calculates out a little out of proportion, but if you divide by 1728 cu in/cu ft instead of 12 then the answer comes out much more reasonable. thanks

Yes you have to divide the cubic inch displacement by 12x12x12 to convert to cubic feet. That total is 1728 as it is a three sided cube 12 inches on a side. And you have to use 1/2 the engine speed because each cylinder only takes in air every other revolution.
