So proud of how the 41 has turned out. Decided to try Google Photos for hosting my pictures. It won't be the same as seeing the image in the post but I can do without the $400 per year charge for third party hosting Photobucket charges. I will also not have to worry about using up a lot of VCCA memory and sizing issues.

Guess I won't know how this works without clicking the Submit button.

Best wishes to all, Mike

I agree with previous posts, a nice car indeed. While I use yahoo for my emails even after I logged in the pics wouldnt show but the later links worked nicely.

Nice job on your '41. Lots of work but when it turns out like yours it is worth the effort. Is your car stock (as close as possible)? I restored my '41 in 1999 when I was young enough to stand on my head and get on and off the creeper and lift, etc. This is my last restoration. I
am going to car shows and parades. Like you I am proud of my '41 Chevy.JIM

Great car Mike!

You can be proud of the results. I know at times it seemed like you would never get to this point.

I also want to thank you for all of your time and efforts to share such detail information with all of us on VCCA Chat.

I don't know what the weather is where you are but it is a great sunny low humidity Sunday here in eastern Iowa. Great day for a drive in a vintage Chevrolet. Make time to enjoy driving the '41 today!

Thank you all for your encouraging replies. I know some might feel a general critique should cover the authenticity of my project. At this time I am going to live with not always being period correct. If I was asking a judge for an evaluation of the car I could easily come up with a list of changes needed to qualify for an award winning restoration.

Through the process I struggled with balancing originality with my skill level, knowledge, budget, patience, individual whims, and all your and my wife's support. I am blown away by the final product, and look forward to regularly driving my 41, and to continuing the tinkering process.

I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have been a part of this hobby the last 14 years, and gotten to know so many of you through our chat site. Almost all of you I have not personally meet, but I want you all to know how much you have meant to me, and how you have changed my life.

Best wishes always, Mike

Wow that is outstanding. It looks like a museum piece to me. How much are you going to drive it?

Looks amazing! I always love the detail of your work and your pictures Mike.

I sure wish the pictures could be posted within this site so they could be preserved rather than on some temporary hosting site.

Very nice job!! I copied your photos to use as a reference for my 41 4 Door Sedan project. I just finished the painting and now comes the reassembly using my memory which has proven to not be as good as I thought!!!
