I have searched and see for various years, there is no muffler hanger but rather tail pipe hangers. I purchased mr car in boxes of parts in 2005 and have had it on the road since 2010 with cheap strapping wrapped around the large (I think 10" circumference) muffler and bolted to the bracket above the muffler. I am pretty sure this car had a special large cradle type strap that wrapped around the muffler and bolted to the bracket under the floor. Does anyone know where to get one cause my makeshift bracket while holding well, does not look too attractive on a car that is very clean underneath?

Thanks much

Obsolete Chevy Parts Co. on page 42 part no. 344194 of the truck parts catalog did have a muffler strap. I understand that they are no longer in business but I think that Jim Carter Truck Parts bought the business. 800-862-1913 or jimcartertruckparts.com might be worth contacting them.

Jolo, Is the muffler bracket for a 1933 Standard or Master.

The 1929-34 Chevrolet Master Price List catalogue shows part number 370933 as the "Muffler Support and Bracket" for the 1933 Master (CA), but no part is listed for the 1933 Standard (CC) for a "muffler support". The Master part has a band that goes around the entire muffler diameter.

The only exhaust system support part listed for the Standard is part number 473758, which is a "Muffler and Tail Pipe Support" and the graphic shows the part is only large enough to go around the pipes and not the muffler diameter.

I have never been able to figure out how to post photos on this website, so if you want to see pictures of the 1933 Master bracket, I posted them in the Chevrolet section of the www.AACA.org forum.

The only new exhaust system support part I have found on the internet for a 1933 Chevrolet is the tailpipe support for the Master and found on the Filling Station website.

Maybe a 1933 Standard owner can shed some light on the Standard configuration if that is the model you are talking about.

Thank Vila
Sorry just saw this post. It is the Master; early production Eagle. I did buy the 36 Truck Bracket/Hanger, but it is not correct. As you have, I can only find the tail pipe hanger being reproduced. I plan to make the hanger and the photos are very helpful.
