I am seriously in need of a pair of the stainless rocker panel moldings for my '48 4 door sport sedan. The ones off my car are dented and ugly. If you have a decent pair for sale, please contact me. Email address is mickeyholton1948@gmail.com. Thanks!

Russell...The Filling Station does not have the mouldings in stock, and don't know if they will ever carry them again. And they don't list a price and told me the price depends on whether they will carry them. Chevs of the 40s lists them but also post no price. They list a price of $675.00 for a pair for a '41 Chevy so I am kinda afraid to call and ask. I posted here because I was hoping someone might have a pair of decent ones they would like to sell as mine are pretty beat up. My car is a driver, not a show car, so I don't need a perfect pair.

There are currently several for sale on eBay, used and new. Some sellers have a pair, some one side or the other and a lot less than $675.00. I usually search eBay under "Vintage Auto Parts" and type in 1948 Chevrolet in the search bar and it will display parts that fit '42-'48 Chevy's. If you have a chrome shop or just a polishing shop near you they can sometimes work wonders removing the dents and polishing them. Hopefully my "spell check" caught all the msitakes. :)

Mickey,
I might have one side (which??) NOS. Maybe you could find the other one on eBay. I will try and get down to the chicken house in the new couple of days to see what I have.
