Is there a source for parking brake cables for my 36 FC or do you have to have them made?

You can find 1937 ones. But not '36. (at least I have never found any) You can make the 1937 ones work. Save all the 1936 parts you can. These may be useful. There are also vendors that can make you up a set but be ready to shell out the bucks. Good luck.

I found this on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1936-Chevrolet-Standard-NOS-Rear-Emergency-Brake-Cable/322589766646?

I ordered a set. Hope they are the right thing. He said has several in stock

Now I discovered my 36 Standard Town Sedan is missing the extension ( part # 5.182) and spring that attaches to the lever (Part #5.181) for the emergency brake. Are they available and would anyone out there have an extra pair?

Incidentally the cables from dreamweaversk on eBay were exact fits. Buy with confidence from him.

The parts you need fit 1936-1950 passenger cars and 1/2 ton trucks....often mising and tossed out.
