Does anyone know when the baffle was added to the water pump for these old 4 cylinders? I have a 24 Chevy that appeared to be all original when I got it. During restoration of the engine I did not see any remains of a baffle and subsequent assembly and inspection can find no provision to install one. I am guessing this was a later engineering change to help with cooling? Any insight appreciated.
Thanks, Tom

My '28 parts book shows a water pump baffle starting with the series 'V' & 'X' which are 1926. P/N 345570.

Thanks Steve! That was my deduction but needed confirmation.
Appreciate the response.
