Hi VCCA members, I was wondering if anyone has a paint code number for chevrolet engine gray and was the bell housing on a 1932 painted gray?
Thanks

As Joe mentioned, the Filling Station www.fillingstation.com has the correct Dark Blue-Gray engine paint. The bell housing was also painted engine color.

There have been many discussions about the "correct" engine gray paint. I think despite all the discussion there will never be total agreement on what the "correct" shade of gray actually is, but TFS is the generally accepted "correct" color.

The FS engine color is as nearly the same as the color on my original 32 engine as can be...

Matching the color today is not really a problem, the real question is whether it's the same as when it was applied-85 or so years ago. I don't know of any paint that does not fade so if we match what it looks like today that does not mean it looks like it did when new.

My original paint on my 32 engine is a bit darker near the bottom of the block but lighter on the head and water inlet....heat does lighten it...Best,

That's probably as accurate to correct color that can be expected.
