I'm putting the final touches on the 1941 Master Deluxe and installed my distributor last night. I looked all through my gasket set and did not find a distributor gasket. Does the 216 use a distributor gasket or does it not need one since this is not a full pressure motor?

I've never run into a gasket for either the 216 or 235 engines in 50+ years of working on them and have never used one, with no problem.
