Does any know of what side mirrors are to be equipped on a 1931 5 window Independence? Any suggestions of mirror types to use?

Hello GreenBayPacker14, If you go onto the Filling Station website and type 'Rear View Mirror' in description and '1931' in vehicle year, up comes 52 items. My 31 Coach has a clamp on short arm mirror on the drivers door. There are mirrors that tie onto the sidemount spare tires also. I do not know if outside mirrors were standard equipment in 31. If not, then the accessory is for you to decide.

I'm new to this site. Is there another parts dealer other than the filling Station for NOS or reproduction parts? r/s Bob

There are several other vendors but I believe The Filling Station has the broadest coverage with excellent service. Most specialize in various parts or services and can be found by searching on the internet. Just be sure to verify that the vendor is reputable and the products of good quality.

Gary Wallace is a great guy and very helpful. I recommend him often as well as The Filling Station.
My understanding has always been that the period correct accessory mirrors that fit on the top hinge pins or clamp onto the door edge are acceptable. I bought a pair of the door edge type last as I discovered that the side mount tire type mirrors are totally unusable. There is way too much vibration out there to be able to see anything in them. They are for looks only!!!!
Happy Motoring, Bill
