Hi my parents have a 1935 Chevy master coach with spare tire on back and we need to change out the gas tank but my old gas tanks straps are Rusty and seen like there about to break when I was trying to take them down does any one know of a good replacement gas tanks straps and maybe 12 volt sending unit

Jaunz,

Those straps are simple strips of sheet metal with the ends folded and one end drilled for a bolt. Any sheet metal shop there on the high desert would have them as scraps in the dumpster or could shear you a pair in seconds.

When I ran my '36 Chevy PU as a 12 volt sbc powered rat rod in the 1960s the original gas gauge and sender worked perfectly on 12 V. Now, 50 years later it's restored and those same gas gauge parts are back on 6 V and still working perfectly.
