Did the 31 phaeton have support brackets for the top when it was down? I have seen pictures with the brackets (or whatever the correct name of them is) on some cars but none on mine. When the top goes down it rests on the top of my trunk. I can not see any place that there where any on the car. Without the brackets there is no way to attach a boot correctly.

Hi Sal,
I do not have a 31 and have no idea even what the support brackets look like as these cars are very scarse here in South Africa.
However, since you raised the question, I noticed on my 29 Pheaton that the 'top down hood support' brackets are not fitted through the body work. The brackets are mounted in the hood frame on the 29. The holes for the brackets on your 31 are possibly hidden under the lower skirt of the soft top material.

Regards,
Chris
