Chevrolet did not sell the pulley only. Also possible the bearing shaft is bent.
I don't know what B setion is but the belt is 41 1/2" long and 5/8" wide.
It fits 1937-1952 + larger trucks up to 1954.

It is A B section.41 1/2" long. I can't imagine that the pulley is at fault. I agree on a worn shaft.

hi thanks terry for that we were pretty sure it was a b section my water pump pulley has the wobbles I think it may have got a bit bent when I had it done up and a Morden seal fitted it seems that the pulley was spot welded to the pump flange as well as the fan bolts passing though it and I'm thinking they did not drill the spot welds out enough before they pulled pulley from shaft I will look for a good second hand one got a swap meet this weekend to go to but some parts for chev are getting harder to get down here

when we buy fan belts we size them by the section we want and then the length I assumed every one did this maybe its more of a new Zealand thing

Here in Aus all belts were sold by section per Tony's posting but 30+ years ago they changed the automotive belts only to a metric flat section code.
