Hi all, I'm new to this site so trying to find my way around.
I'm not to sure if the USA is the correct place to ask but looking at replys on here to other questions I thought there's a good chance somebody maybe able to help.
I would like to know how many Holden bodied 1946 coup utes were made.it's a stylemaster, ie sedan front sheetmetal and chassis I've tryed the vintage chev club of Australia and Holden them self (no response) and other sites on the www. The best (only) answer was from the vintage chev club of Australia saying that because of it being straight after the war there was "not many" made. But an actual number would be good to know.
I also have at the moment a Fisher bodied 46 fleetmaster 4 door sedan, NZ new and been in the family since 58. also a 49 4 door Fleetline, been in NZ since 53 and a 49 2 door Fleetline, been in NZ approx 6 years, and a 56 4 door Bel Air hardtop.
Cheers Cliff.

Hi Cliff.
Norm Darwin, the author of The History of Holden Since 1917 would be the best person to contact re production figures.
I have a 1940 Chevrolet Coupe Utility and a 1951 Chevrolet Coupe Utility and just had a look at my copy of his book and could not find the figures for 1946 but did see that 1,484 were built in 1940 and would suspect that a lot more were built in 1946 judging by the survival rate.
You may be able to contact Norm through Restored Cars Australia magazine and they may also have the information you are seeking. Regards Michael.

Yes, I've seen his book but don't have a copy. I'll have to get one, thanks for the reply.
Cheers, Cliff
