Evening group, starting on my 28 speedster and need to get the bare chassis blasted has anyone got a recommendation in Sydney Australia. Have had quotes from $200 to $500 with out coating , and from past experience some places get all the rust off , others leave those deeper pitted areas with a coat of rust . Ray

Hi,
I have used Impact Glass beading in Blacktown, always very happy, they have been doing this type of work for years, Romford road I think.

before you start priming the sand or glass beaded frame. Use a product called a RUST CONVERTER first.

I have no idea what's available in AU.

But if you google it , it will tell you what the product does. Basically converts rust and seals it so you can use conventional primer over top.

HI Ray
They treat it with an acid solution which stops it from rusting and it lasts ages.

Rust convertor is basically phosphoric acid. You still need to get most of the rust off before using it. Otherwise there will still be rust underneath.
