Good morning from a not so sunny UK !!!
I have a 1931 Chevy Coupe which I have owned for over 20 years.
Recently I had a problem with the water pump which required new bushes, and propeller shaft to be remade, so far, so good.
The problem I know face is how to replace the water pump packing to finish the job off.
Does anybody know of a parts supplier or a solution which may be handy.
Thanks for any feedback
Best wishes

You can buy the packing online from the Filling Station: http://www.fillingstation.comIt's their part number RW-220T Hope that helps. All the Best, Chip PS -- The Model A Fords also use the same packing, and there are quite a few suppliers.

You can usually buy the packing from most places that sell water pumps for domestic and rural applications, but you will also need proper water pump grease.

If you have a plumbing supply that sells steam valves the packing for the valve stem is a rope that is wound around the stem and comes in different diameters, just rap around shaft and tighten nut. Al
