While restoring my '57 some of the parts:

a. walked off on their own or

b. spacemen came & took them for samples or

c. someone felt that their need was greater than mine or

d. the high school dropout that cleaned up and was the "go-fer" misplaced or threw them out or

e. someone stole them or

f. they are just lost in all of the stuff in the shop.

One of the above is the reason for my needs now.

NEEDED:

1. quarter window "guide" channel, left side.

2. vent window and belt line SS trim* (all 12 pieces).

3. SS pinchwell moulding (aka "top boot" moulding) right and left sides* (has the snaps in it for the boot).

This is for a '57 convertible. New or used doesn't matter.

*Don't care if it is dented, can use for a 'core'.

PLEASE send me a message if you have or know of the whereabouts of any of these items.

Please reply with the name of any company that you think might have these (except CCW, already been there), junkyards included.

Thanks, Gator

I am looking for the supplier for a check valve kit for a CI powerglide. Valve goes in cooler line and prevents converter leakdown...any ideas?

The check valves are available from the "Classic Chev Club"...From the information that I have recieved from another Chevy chatsite -THEY DO NOT WORK.This was the opinion from several that have tried one.

I have returned parts to CCW for different reasons over the past few years and have had no problem returning the items to them. :) luv2

Some of the parts they sell come from overseas or drop shipped, it is hard to "test" each item that they sell. :(

Ok this is gonna sound stupid, but what is CCW?

Have you tried CarsONE here in Southern California. They have the interior kits and convert boots so they might have the snap strip. Also, and I know everyone goes here, but have you tried Danchuck?

Gator, Sorry but that convert stuff is real hard to locate. It does come to the surface now and then so keep looking.

I miss my car...you know...she is so "sweet and smooth". luv2

When you lose (or can't have) the car you love the withdrawal can and is painful. She looks so lonely and sad. :(

Even a puddle of tear drops on the floor (well, it may not be tear drops, but...) wazzup
