I was wondering if anyone has had the front bumper filler panel replaced on their Caprice or Impala? I know the original ones were a rubber type and the repros are fiberglass. Not sure how it will fasten to the bumper or what. Any information will be appreciated.

Hi Rich,

I see ads all the time in Hemmings for Thermoformed ABS plastic bumper fillers. The company is www.caddyparts.com, phone 864-579-0023. I, need to replace the F&R fillers on my '74 Caprice, as well. I'll probably buy a rear filler from these guys just to see how it works. I believe the originals were ABS, and they bolt (or screw) to the car fenders, not the bumper itself. Like you, I'm in Connecticut. All the best, Matt Desy - VCCA #45077
