NEED HELP,
I'm rebuilding a 261 chevy truck engine but, I can't seem to locate any specifications. Someone
at work thought their was a toll free number for any year needed. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Use the 'search' link and I think you will find the information on the stuff Chevrolet sends out.

There is a thread here on the site that has a link to a web page that is about the "Forgotten 261 six"

But you need the shop manual anyway, I have one for the 1957 truck and it has everything needed to do a complete overhaul except the parts and the skinned knuckles you probably will get.
