UVIRA used to re-coat mirrors in vacuum sealed aluminum along with their headlight reflector process. Don't know if they currently still do the mirrors or not. Here is their contact information: UVIRA: Phone, (541) 956-6880 · Address. 310 Pleasant Valley Rd; Merlin, Oregon 97532

If non concours restoration is acceptable, on u-tube a few years ago was a video of a home style resilvering method for mirrors. For an inside mirror that is just used to determine if something or someone is behind you it should be fine. If you don't like it I think it can be stripped off and taken to a professional.

I tried that Spray paint method once and I had to restrip the mirror again which was no problem. You could see yourself but not clear.

I tried to take a silvered mirror and make a round area on the end that the clock sits behind........I had trouble getting silvering off the surface , just did not work properly. Then went to store for men who love cars >>>>>>>>>>>>>>EBAY USA and found a ford seller who had the clock mirror glass only and bought it, placed my clock behind it and its still in use 10 years later . I bought one , non gm clock face, for my 35 chev phaeton last fall and installed it. looks great and best of all, clock works on the stem wind setup. mike

Finding a just the mirror for a clock mirror is almost impossible. I have looked and have never been able to locate one. They are probably out there but finding is difficult.
Paul If it isn't broken, fiddle with it anyway so you have something to repair. 1931 Deluxe Sport Roadster 1953 BelAir 4 dr. Sedan 1965 Chevy II Nova SS

Hello The clear area part is round. I have the original mirror that has a groove in the back to center the clock properly however the mirror has to be re-silvered. Also I have the original Phiney Walker clock completely restored for this mirror. I found on the internet somes places that do this kind of work and I would like to know if someone can recommend me a particular place. Regards

clock easily attaches to the mirror with small clips over the top and bottom , just take your time correctly align them, then tighten the screws. The ford repo glass works great, I have it 2 times, looks same to me. The main mounting bracket same thing. Anybody who fixes antique clocks, and they ( the people ) area getting rare. I found a local guy who did it first one. 2nd one talked to a jeweler who he trusted and sent it out to be repaired.. You should be able to locate a close to home repair person without shipping it anywhere both work great. mike
