I purchased a 1925 chevrolet 4 door sedan last week. All original wood in pretty good shape.

When looking for more information i found a plaque on the passenger side of the seat that said

CAPITOL
21AA-41306

other numbers
job no. 7240
body no. J4684

ENGINE # 4707248

I thought it was a 1925 but after a little research I noticed that it has the bullet head lights that started in 1927.

My question for you is does this seem correct?

Where would be the best place to get a replacement or repair the radiator...?

thanks for all the help in advance

Bradk28; enjoy your 1927 sedan. A '27 engine has a belt drive generator, while a '25 is gear driven. Many more differences as well. A 4707248 is a 1927 engine. The Filling Station used to import radiator cores from down under. I think it was from New Zealand. The honeycomb radiators are very expensive.

I took 2 '28 radiators to a local radiator shop recommended by the mechanic who rebuilt my engine. Radiator shop in business for almost 60 years. They rebuilt both with v-type cores, at equivalent materials cost of just one honeycomb radiator core. Importance to me was the function not the looks. Now I've got the radiator for my second '28 Chevrolet.
Enjoy the '27.....

As you can see it was thought to be a 1925 for a while. In the process of changing the title to the correct year now...
