A friend of mine in Arizona went to a swap meet and picked up what he thought was a 34-35 standard rumble seat lid. NOPE

Here are dimensions....37 1/2" wide x 27" long.

I am thinking that this lid MAY POSSIBLY be for a 33 standard series coupe either the rumble seat model or the trunk lid model.

Anybody care to weigh in here on the sizes posted and matches 33 standard.

1933 Standard is 40" x 27" depending on where you measure it. Rumble & regular used the same metal but the wood was different...Joe

Mike it might be a 32 Ford rumble seat lid! My 34 Chevy Standard Roadster Holden rumble lid dimensions are 40 inches wide at the bottom with 28-1/2 inches long on the curve.

its definitely a GM rumble lid or trunk lid because of the trunk handle ( not there) ferrule still mounted in the metal. Fords don't use that .

The dimensions width wise are much narrower than a 34--35 std roadster...which is 39 1/2". This is 37 1/2 the unidentified one.

So if its not a Chevrolet roadster USA built, what couild it be ???

nor a fisher body trunk lid.........maybe a CABRIOLET 34 master ??? jay the guy who bought it has 33 coupe MAST 3w and a 33 MAST roadster and doesn't fit them.

JOE in Arizona knows his 33 standard chevs and doesn't match that. Neither coupe or coupe with rumble seat.

So that leaves 33---35 Pontiac, ,,,,33 to 35 oldsmobile, 33--35 buick. Don't know anything about them so lots of hunting by JAY to figure out what it is.

Only Pontiacs buicks and olds that I have seen the main body looks like a 34 chev master ????

thoughts ?

33/34 Master Cabriolet & Sports coupe use the same lid which is metal lined, not wood. It's bigger..Joe
