Good Morning All, we are looking for any advice regarding the installation of the rear metal floor pan in the 31 coach. Was there any type of seal between the metal and the wood or was it simply just screwed down. Thank you for your input.

It just screws to the wood. Most model pans have holes in them to access things like the rear body mounting bolts. There are no covers or seals over these holes. Some of the 29's had large triangular cut outs in the rear pan that would coincide with metal projections on the bottom of the seat cushion. It has to make you think when going through a big puddle, lots of water had to come up through the bottom of these cars.

We hadn't thought of plugging the bolt access holes at the rear but now that you mention it, a plastic plug wouldn't hurt anything. We were actually thinking of putting something between the bottom of the floor pan and the area of the edge of the wood sill that it contacts with like silicone or a strip of self stick rubber or similar.
