Hi, I'm new here and I had a question about the color of the wheels for a 57 belair convertable.
It's white and I was led to believe that the wheel color matched the body color. It also has red/grey interior.
Could anyone help me?

Early 1957 Bel Airs had body color wheels.Late ones (after about April) had silver wheels.With the silver wheels it was easier for the factory to match wheels and tires to the car-fewer combinations.

I assume you can tell by the VIN as to the build date, what would be the VIN range (April) for body color wheels vs silver? Or is there a better way to figure it out? :confused: I didn't know the wheel color was changed, mine were body color when I got the car and that is what I did when restoring it, now I wonder if that is right. :confused: :( :confused:

Thanks for the reply.
The car is early like Nov of '56,and its all stock so I wanna keep it that way. Right now it has red wheels, which look great but I had a feeling that they weren't correct.
