Hello All,

Does anyone have pictures of how their wiper motor is installed on a 1935 standard. I have the wiper and a rod sticks through to the inside but not sure how it was operated or wired in. I am guessing the filling station would have the motor?? if anyone has install one I would appreciate any advice

the stock wiper motor was vacuum powered off the engine vacuum.

If you watch ebay and search new listings every day under 1934 1935 Chevrolet you should have one fairly soon. Might have to be rebuilt and not sure who does that.

Or place a wanted ad in this sites "parts wanted section" down the bottom area.

The other alternative is to purchase a boat motor electric wiper motor on ebay thru various sellers.

Speedway motors in Lincoln NEB. one of the sellers also offers them with wiper arm and wiper. Plus a special switch just for the wipers.

A right side PASSENGER wiper was an option back them.

Thank you for the advice and if anyone has a vacume one installed I would greatly apprecaite pictures. I have made calls to california and new york trying to chase them down. Since Trico is still in business....hard to believe since they started in 1911 I was hoping to contact them.

Still on the hunt if anyone has one to sell just need one

All,

Just an update but believe it or not a representative from Trico responded to my email with a picture of the 1935 parts page showing the exact wiper motor I needed. Additionally , he sent me a link to a ebay site that had the one I needed. Pretty cool for a company that big to help a guy out like that, maybe the reason they have stayed in business since 1911.

Steve just another option is to use Rain-x on the glass. Easy to use just puts a coat of wax on the windshield and wipe it off with a clean white towel and the water never stays on. They use it on Jets and Air Craft plus I use in on all of my cars.
