I would use some radio type electrical solder on those leads you attached to always maintain total contact. Then covered with shrink tube. mike

Your local radio repair shop (if you can find 1 these days) would also have those resistors and probably in different wattages as well. If you still have a "Tandy" or "Radio Shack" they will have them too. Tony
