I am finally having the engine rebuilt for my 1932 coupe. I'm looking for a good cam shaft. Anyone who has one or knows of a source please let me know.

If your cam is not seriously damaged, it can be reground. If the high spots are too low, they can be built back up by spraying metal on them or by conventional welding. They are then placed in a special lathe that can cut them back down to the original specifications. These specifications are controlled by special dies used in the lathe. So, if not totally destroyed, your cam can be brought back to service specifications.

Will a Cam shaft out of a 1930 be the same as 31-32? If so, I have one with the gear on it. If you find out you can send me an email from my bio.

Thanks to all. Yeah, I've already spoken to Steve Kassis. As you've pointed out he told me it was a one year only. I'm hoping to find someone with a cracked block and good cam. I'll probably end up having mine built up and reground.

I'll probably end up having mine built up and reground. Get your cam reground instead of trying to find another used 1932 cam. If you do find another 1932 used cam it may be worse than the cam that you have at present. It is common practice to have the cam reground during an engine rebuild.

As others have said, It's probably not worth trying to find a different one if yours is in any way regrindable. Delta Cams in Tacoma, WA does a good job of regrinding and for reasonable cost. http://www.deltacam.com/
