Would a 1955 belair 2 dr sedan have the "chevrolet" chrome word emblem on the front fenders or was that only on the 210 series?
Any details on this subject would be appreciated.

James,
I believe that 210 had the "Chevrolet" chrome word emblem on the front fenders. Bel Airs did not; they had the "Bel Air" chrome word emblem on the quarter panel above the stainless steel side moulding.
Regards,

The 150 & 210 had a chrome Chevrolet script on the front fender. The Bel Air has a long side moulding running the length of the fender and extending into the door. The long moulding on the rear quarter panel is plain on a 210 and has a paint filled (white) center on the Bel Air.
